I am Richard Gallagher, a photographer on the space coast of Florida. I recently left the Army and used my GI Bill to complete a program of study in digital photography at Eastern Florida State College. I am married and have two children, two step-children and three grand children. My wife is a travel agent and we love to cruise the world which also gives me plenty of opportunities to take photographs.
I have been passionate about photography ever since watching and photographing my first Space Shuttle launch, since then I am seldom without my camera. I enjoy photographing and documenting spontaneous people, places and events. I like to be surprised by what I photograph and try to feature that hidden gem, a wry smile, a reflection or something hidden to the eye but not the camera. I hope you too will be surprised by my images.

career highlights
My image was selected for the month of June in the 2019 Sea Turtle Conservation calendar. I also have taken pictures for the Florida marathon, Surfing Santas, and the Renascence Fair.
